How this portal handles members’ information.
A private portal for members of the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary to record the activity that counts toward membership points. Only people on the Auxiliary’s roster can sign in.
You see your own record. Members of the Auxiliary’s Membership committee see every member’s record so they can correct entries and answer questions. Penzago, the firm that built and runs the portal for the Auxiliary, has technical access for maintenance and support and uses it only for that. Nothing is public, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
You sign in with a one-time button sent to your email address, or with Google. With Google, the portal receives only the name and email address on your Google account, to match you to the roster; it does not read or change anything else in your Google account. A cookie keeps you signed in on your device for the season. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
The portal is hosted in the United States on the Auxiliary’s behalf: the website on Vercel, the database on Supabase, and email through Mailgun. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Records are kept season by season as part of the Auxiliary’s membership history. To correct or remove something, or if you leave the Auxiliary, contact the Membership committee at kcolendich@gmail.com.
